About REU in HCI

Program Benefits

There are several benefits of joining the REU in HCI program. Here are some of things that are waiting for you:

  • Research experience with faculty and students.
  • A regular incrementally paid stipend after arriving at Virginia Tech.

Program Requirements

Please consider the following requirements if you intend to apply for a chance to participate in the Summer 2008 session:

  • Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  • Applicant must have a cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0 (exceptions may be made based on recent performance).
  • Applicant must be an undergraduate student in good standing and scheduled to graduate after December of the current year.
  • Applicant should have plans to pursue a graduate degree in an HCI related field.
  • Interns must attend weekly seminars and programs.
  • Interns must prepare a written report of their work by the end of the summer term.
